Completion of testing of students’ transversal competencies within the Erasmus+ project “The acceleration method of development of transversal competences in the students’ practical training process”

 The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor, as a partner, participates in the Erasmus + project entitled “The acceleration method of development of transversal competences in the students’ practical training process”. With the project, we are developing an innovative method for targeted development and faster adoption of transversal competencies of students.

At the Faculty of Economics and Business, we developed and in the summer semester of the academic year 2016/2017 tested with the students a process that involves brainstorming, team work and case study methods. By the beginning of November 2017, we completed the testing and processed the research results. We have found out that all students involved in testing successfully developed their transversal competences entrepreneurship, team work, creativity and communicativeness, and evaluated such a pedagogical process as very useful. Therefore, we suggest that such a teaching process should become a good practice at our faculty and in other EU Member States.
