The project group of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor participates as a partner in the Erasmus + project entitled »The acceleration method of development of transversal competences in the students’ practical training process«. With the project, we are developing a learning method for improving students’ competencies.

The project brings many positive effects on the improvement of the pedagogical process of the participating higher education teachers. With the project, we are developing an innovative method for targeted and faster development of students’ transversal competencies proposed by the European Parliament. These competences are: entrepreneurship, teamwork, creativity and communicativeness.

The members of the project group of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, presented the scientific knowledge gained as a result of the project at the second international scientific conference »Teaching Methods for Economics and Business Sciences«, which was organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business on May 7, 2018 as part of the twelfth International Week of the Faculty. In the paper »Finding ideas for an ethical solution to the business problem using the Brainstorming method« we emphasized the importance of using innovative methods for developing transversal competencies of students. We presented the method of brainstorming and the results obtained by this method during the student’s learning process, when we used the method in finding the possibility of an ethical solution to the problem with the enterprise’s credibility strategy.
