Presentation of the project at the University of Maribor

Assistant professor Dr. Tjaša Štrukelj conducted a lecture combined with a workshop for the management personnel of the University of Maribor on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9: 30–11:00 at the Rector house of the University of Maribor. Her lecture with the topic “Corporate social responsibility in the policy of the organization” is part of the efforts of the University of Maribor in the process of employees’ career development and improving of competences.

Training and education efforts are an important part of the strategy of the University of Maribor that is set up for the period until the year 2020. Prof. Dr. Tjaša Štrukelj is a team member of the Erasmus + project. She recognized the lecture as an opportunity to presents the project and its main intellectual outputs within the broad topic of corporate responsibility and education.

She emphasized the importance of joint work of several partners from Finland, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, which main motivation and goal is to develop a common method to accelerate the development of transversal / transferable competences in the practical training process of students. In order to be able to achieve this goal, project partners find especially important the exchange of best practices, the awareness’s raising of the significance of the transversal competences in the areas of entrepreneurship, creativity, teamwork and communication, and the cooperation with enterprises in order to identify the needs for particular competences among entrepreneurs. The project also takes into account the impact of cultural differences on the development of transversal competences. That is way partners from different European countries take part in this project.
